Introduction

AI Synergy is a company specializing in creating innovative technological solutions, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence and software supporting the transport and logistics industries. In 2022, the company was approached by DPD, one of Europe's leading courier and logistics providers, to develop a mobile application that would help optimize transportation management processes and driver compensation. The goal of the project was to create a tool that would streamline communication between drivers and fleet managers while automating the document flow and payroll calculations, especially in the context of changes brought by the Mobility Package.

DPD is a company operating in the logistics industry for over 30 years, specializing in courier and transportation services. DPD serves both domestic and international markets, delivering parcels to individual and business customers. The company focuses on innovation and process optimization to provide high-quality services. Before collaborating with AI Synergy, DPD faced challenges in improving communication with drivers and optimizing compensation processes, particularly due to the changes brought about by the Mobility Package regulations.

Challenge / Problem

Before partnering with AI Synergy, DPD encountered multiple operational challenges in their transport and logistics processes:

Process and Solutions Applied

• e-TOLL Module – Ensured seamless transport operations by providing drivers with real-time updates on any issues related to data transmission to the e-TOLL system.
• Task Module – Enabled smooth communication with drivers and real-time monitoring of task execution.
• Foreign Pay Module – Simplified the process of importing load and unload data, optimizing driver compensation calculations.
• Integration with External Systems – Successfully integrated the application with the e-TOLL system and other DPD internal systems.
• Route Planning using the HereMaps API – Integrated the HereMaps API to automate optimal route planning.

Results & Client's Opinion

After implementing the Driver Mate app, DPD saw faster compensation calculations, improved communication with drivers, and ensured compliance with the Mobility Package. The app also optimized routes, saving both time and fuel for drivers.
